Don’t put all your hopes in your own strength. God is not a genie that we can ask him for all of our dreams to come true. We worship a servant king. If you follow Jesus, you will go to uncomfortable places. Expect trials along the way, but do not think of them as curses,

New year, new you? What if the new year resolutions don’t pan out? What if tragedy strikes your home? For some, 2023 was amazing. For others, 2023 will be remembered as the year they lost a dear loved one. Whatever 2024 brings, you can choose to cling to God like you never have before. 17

We’ve become so familiar with the story of the birth of Messiah. We’ve glamorized the event. It was anything but pretty. The King of the universe stepped down into our mud and filth to save us.
